The book "Cultivo, poscosecha y procesado del aguacate" (Spanish version) brings together various articles written by international researchers, leading experts and professionals of international prestige

In the last few years, avocado cultivation has been booming due to its multiple healthy and nutritional properties. According to the World Avocado Association, consumption in Europe has reached 650,000 tons in 2018, which represents an increase of 65% compared to 2016. Specifically, Spain has sold 55.5 million tons, thus becoming the third exporting country to Europe behind Chile and Israel in the winter market. This has been possible thanks to the development of new production and postharvest technologies that have made possible to extend shelf-life and guarantee optimum fruit quality.
